It's official. The jotters are here and ready to be snatched up. It's a collection of three and they look rather lovely together. The colours are deep and mossy. Just what I like. My wee animals are a bit shy and are hiding behind their blankets and hedges.
I have been taking them on a trial run for the last month, carrying them in my bag, drawing in them with ball point pens and magic markers. Basically seeing how they stand up to other jotters. They passed with flying colours!
I am so glad I went for blank pages as sometimes I feel restricted by lines. I want to be able to draw and write on the same page. If you are like me then you will love these.
It has been a whole year searching high and low for the paper I wanted and the manufacturer based in the UK who understood my vision. Not an easy task. The colour and texture had to be just right. The paper I eventually found is called popset oyster and I must say it is lovely to write on. The cover is a durable weight that wont become dog eared easily. I am also trying out a linen spine on them so they last even longer. I think this makes them look a bit more special.
So ladies and gentlemen I really hope you like them and hopefully they will be as successful as the cards. You may just see them popping up in all sorts of lovely shops.
When my new website is up and running you will be able to buy them through the shop. This is just the beginning of a long line of notebooks and jotters. More in the pipeline.....

A lovely Sunday afternoon.
It's been a really busy week here but have not got much done. Been going round in circles and can't seem to focus. So I have taken Sunday to re-charge and sort my house out. It can be tricky when you have your studio just upstairs calling you to do some work.

Dear Prudence has made a new friend. Richard and Jane are the brains behind Maraid Design and are a truly unique web design studio. We had a great initial meeting yesterday to discuss the future of the DP website and how to make a better one. We had coffee and croissants and spoke of vintage games and matchbox labels.
So the beginnings of the new website and shop are under way and we are planning to launch in September.
Just enough time for me to design new products and take some beautiful photographs.

And so the busy Christmas orders begin. I had to try my best to get into the Christmas spirit. Not easy in August. Also in the process of a big re-design of my website. Very exciting. Soon you will be able to buy Dear Prudence products straight from the website.
